Design Engineer - Bacton - £51,529 to £65,000

The Operations team maintain, repair and upgrade 7,666km of high-pressure pipe, 23 compressor stations, 504 above-ground installations, and 8 connected distribution networks through a highly skilled team of over 600 technicians and engineers across Great Britain. Working around the clock to maintain and enhance the infrastructure that powers homes, business and industries, guaranteeing a steady and secure energy supply.

As a Design Engineer within the Bacton Design Team, you will be responsible for co-ordinating the technical aspects of a project. 

 

Your main focus will be to support the design and delivery of various Projects by providing clear guidance and expert advice from your knowledge and experience of either Electrical, Control, Instrumentation or Mechanical Systems.
 
You will use industry and company technical standards and procedures to provide clear instruction and guidance to framework contractors in order to achieve stakeholder acceptance. 

 

You'll engage effectively with key stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of the project to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of projects whilst maintaining safety, quality and environmental practises are embedded in the design process.
 
Fundamental to the Design Engineer role is taking accountability for key activities such as co-ordinating formal process safety and environmental assessments, undertaking, and managing design reviews, co-ordinating approvals and providing technical support to key stakeholders.

What we are looking for

To be success in this role you'll come from an engineering background with Design Engineering experience, ideally in the Oil and Gas industry and hold a minimum of HNC level qualification (or equivalent) in Electrical, Control, Instrumentation or Mechanical Engineering.
