About the role:

Are you ready to take the lead on a game changing project that will power the nation's future? At National Gas, we're on a mission to delivery essential infrastructure that meets RIIO-2 and RIIO-3 Ofgem deliverables - and we need a driven Lead project Manager to make it happen!

In this role, you'll oversee the end to end deliver of our compressor infrastructure campaign which includes the replacement/enhancement of gas detection/suppression systems, ventilation, gas turbine air intakes and exhausts campaign, whilst leading a growing team of up to 10 talented individuals. From scoping and planning to execution and handover, you'll ensure projects are delivered on, within budget, and to the highest safety standards. 

Your week will be dynamic: expect to travel to sites across the UK for roughly three days a week, with two days working from home to focus on planning, reporting, and team management.

What we're looking for:
To thrive in this role, you'll need to be an experienced project manager with a passion for delivery and a solid engineering background. Here's what we're after:

• Leadership Excellence: Proven experience managing teams, inspiring collaboration, and driving high performance.
• Construction Expertise: A deep understanding of construction processes, including project lifecycles, planning, and compliance with health and safety standards.
• Engineering Credentials: Ideally you'll bring a background in engineering, enabling you to engage with technical challenges effectively.
• Travel Flexibility: Comfortable with a blend of on-site and remote work, traveling up to three days  week.
• Strategic Vision: Strong ability to align project outcomes with RIIO-2 and RIIO-3 objectives  and meet Ofgem standards.
