We believe that everyone should be empowered to thrive in their role and to feel like they belong.
That's why we're building a workplace where inclusion isn't just a buzzword, but informs how we lead, make decisions and deliver.
At National Gas, our approach to DEI is designed to make real, meaningful change. We know that DEI isn't in grand gestures, but in everyday micro-moments, that's why we focus on moments that matter and that shape your experience at work, from recruitment and onboarding, to development and day-to-day leadership.

Belonging Forum
The Belonging Forum is a voluntary community made up of colleagues from across the organisation which aims to shape and help to deliver the company's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion strategy. The Belonging Forum gets actively involved in organising events to raise awareness, reviewing and improving company policies, and producing educational materials. The Forum members, some of whom have lived experience of diversity and inclusion issues, provide insight, support and advice that helps to ensure that National Gas becomes a diverse, inclusive, and equitable place, where everyone can be themselves. We act as strong allies and provide a safe space to enable meaningful change for everyone.

The Future of DEI
We have just launched our new 5-year strategy to continue achieving our DEI ambitions, which focuses on four strategic objectives:
- Fit for the future – where DEI supports National Gas to be ready for the future workforce challenges, with a deep focus on inclusion.
- Leading from the front – where senior leaders take a visible lead in the DEI work.
- DEI in our DNA – where DEI becomes so embedded into business objectives, processes and practices, it is no longer a separate process.
- Partnership working – National Gas continues to actively work with our sector to improve the diversity of future talent, working with our supply chain to support them in embedding DEI into their organisations, and increasing our support to the communities in which we operate.
