About The Role
As a Regional Investment Sponsor, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering a portfolio of capital investment projects that support our business strategy, regulatory commitments and operational priorities. You'll be responsible for developing and optimising medium-term investment plans, sponsoring projects through their full lifecycle, and working closely with delivery, finance and portfolio teams to ensure investments deliver the right outcomes safely, efficiently and within budget.
Why This Role Matters
The decisions made within this role directly influence how we invest in our assets, manage risk and deliver outcomes for customers, stakeholders and the wider energy system. By developing and maintaining robust investment plans, you'll help ensure resources are allocated effectively to meet both current and future business needs.
You'll also provide the vital link between strategic planning and project delivery, ensuring investments remain aligned with regulatory requirements, operational priorities and financial objectives. Your insight and challenge will help maximise value from significant capital investment programmes while supporting the successful delivery of RIIO commitments.

- Managing changes to investment plans, balancing priorities, mitigating risks and ensuring delivery of required business outcomes.
- Resolving complex investment planning challenges through data-driven analysis and effective stakeholder collaboration.
- Building strong relationships across regional teams, finance, central investment functions and major programmes to support effective decision-making.
- Monitoring, analysing and presenting investment performance, risks and recommendations to senior stakeholders across the business.
- Producing regulatory and portfolio reporting, while ensuring the consistent application of investment planning standards and processes across the wider portfolio.
What You'll Bring
You'll be someone who combines strategic thinking with strong commercial and analytical acumen, using data-driven insight to influence investment decisions, build trusted stakeholder relationships, and deliver outcomes that create long-term value for the business and our customers.
