About The Role
As a Project Manager, you'll lead the successful delivery of a portfolio of construction and infrastructure projects, focussing on electrical (EC&I) across the Scotland & North region. Taking projects from initial concept through to completion, you'll be responsible for ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. Working with multidisciplinary teams, contractors and stakeholders, you'll provide leadership, commercial oversight and technical direction while driving innovation and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.
Why This Role Matters
Investment projects are critical to maintaining and enhancing the reliability, safety and performance of the UK's gas transmission network. As a Project Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering infrastructure that supports both current operations and future energy needs, ensuring projects meet regulatory, environmental and operational requirements.
Your leadership will help bring together engineering, commercial and delivery teams to achieve successful project outcomes. By managing risk, driving performance and fostering collaboration, you'll help ensure investment is translated into lasting value for the business, our customers and the wider energy network.
What You'll Be Doing

- Managing projects from initial requirements and technical specifications through development, delivery and close-out, ensuring commitments on cost, schedule and quality are achieved.
- Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors and suppliers to support effective project planning and delivery.
- Ensuring health, safety, environmental and process safety requirements are fully embedded throughout the project lifecycle, including CDM responsibilities where assigned.
- Influencing project designs to maximise whole-life asset value, incorporating best practice, innovation, buildability and maintainability considerations.
- Managing contract strategies, contractor performance and commercial outcomes through effective use of NEC contracts and performance measures.
- Monitoring project performance, governance, budgets and risks, while leading project review meetings and driving continuous improvement.
