Salary: £65,000 to £86,000 + range of benefits

About the Role:
To lead a multidisciplinary engineering team focused on ensuring the integrity, reliability, and performance of rotating equipment, mechanical assets, and corrosion management.
The role provides strategic and technical leadership across regional operations and Asset Health capital projects, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards while driving innovation, standardisation, and value through risk-based decision-making
What You’ll be doing:
Key responsibilities:
- Lead engineering discipline teams in delivering integrity assurance across rotating equipment, mechanical systems, and corrosion control.
- Oversee technical scope development and ensure alignment with investment processes and asset strategies.
- Review and approve technical queries, ensuring compliance with engineering policies, procedures, and specifications.
- Provide expert input into process safety assessments, environmental reviews, and quality assurance activities.
- Manage inspection, testing, and commissioning of mechanical and rotating equipment, including factory and site activities.
- Ensure robust corrosion management strategies are implemented across assets, including material selection, coatings, cathodic protection, and monitoring systems.
- Lead design reviews and ensure technical compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned, innovation, and best practice sharing.
- Develop and maintain the Quality Management System for project delivery, ensuring ISO9001 compliance.
- Investigate and resolve non-conformances, ensuring root cause analysis and mitigation across the network.
- Support supplier and manufacturing quality assurance, particularly for rotating machinery and corrosion-critical components.
Travel will be part of the job – we have a national portfolio. You'll travel to the Aberdeen or Livingston office a couple of times a week as well as visiting other sites across Scotland & the North with home working in-between.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.

Key Requirements & Experience:
- Chartered Engineer with a relevant professional body (e.g., IMechE, ICorr) or corresponding deep technical experience.
- Proven leadership and team management experience in engineering environments.
- Strong technical expertise in rotating equipment (e.g., gas compressors, gas turbines, pumps), mechanical systems, and corrosion engineering.
- Significant experience in asset integrity and engineering technical support functions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Commercial acumen to drive value through design optimisation, innovation, and standardisation.
- Knowledge of ISO9001 and application of Quality Management Systems.
- Familiarity with CDM Regulations and SHE procedures.
- Understanding of Management of Engineering Change - Design Approval & Appraisal, and Close-out process.
