£46,500 to £55,500 plus up to 6% bonus, overtime and standby allowance

On site, 5 days a week. This role will be based out of the Bacton gas terminal and will involve regular travel to the Kings Lynn and Diss sites.

About the role
As Gas Operations Cyber Officer, you'll provide dedicated technical expertise and support for operational technologies (OT) and cyber disciplines across Gas Transmission assets. You'll ensure the safe, secure, and efficient operation of instrumentation and control systems on terminals, compressor stations, power stations, industrial offtakes, pipelines, and AGIs within a defined geographic area of the national transmission system.
What you'll be doing
- Deliver cyber advice and assurance in line with IEC/ISA62443 and NIS Regulations, covering cyber asset management, test laptops, BCDR, and backups.
- Act as a technical peer reviewer for cyber-related policies, procedures, and statutory documents.
- Provide first-line support for cyber incident response.
- Support field teams with cyber-related OT activities to optimise asset reliability and performance.
- Manage cyber-related systems as a data steward, ensuring software licensing, backups, security, and black start recovery arrangements.
- Deliver local technical training and support the development of cyber training courses.
- Ensure safe work practices under SCO procedures, authorising permission documents and conducting safety inspections.
- Support commissioning of new control & instrumentation assets and identify upgrade needs, including business case preparation.
- Manage minor capex projects and OT equipment replacements/modifications.
- Contribute to Formal Process Safety Assessments including HAZOP, HAZID, and risk workshops.
- Participating in a standby rota once fully trained, as and when required depending on site requirements.
About you
You'll be proactive and safety-conscious with strong leadership and communication skills. You'll have the ability to influence, and support others, ensuring high standards of technical delivery and safety compliance.
Key requirements & experience
- HNC qualification (or equivalent) in control & instrumentation, with significant relevant experience
- IOSH Managing Safely
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation, company standards, and instructions
- In-depth knowledge of high-pressure gas transmission systems and associated plant
- Technical expertise in control & instrumentation systems across transmission assets
- Authorised as Authorising Engineer under SCO/91 & /94, and EL/96
- Competent under Safety & Technical Competency Framework
- Full UK car driving licence

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
