£46,500 to £55,000 plus up to 6% bonus, and overtime

About the role
As a Project Supervisor, you'll be the eyes and ears on the ground across our Bacton Gas Terminal, making sure everything runs smoothly and safely. This role is all about keeping projects on track, ensuring contractors meet their responsibilities, and maintaining high standards in line with National Gas policies. You'll be a key link between the site teams and the project management team - monitoring progress, resolving issues, and making sure work is delivered to the right quality, on time, and in a safe environment.
What you’ll be doing
- Ensuring the Principal Contractor (PC) proactively meets their duties under CDM regulations, particularly around safety.
- Facilitating regular site safety walks, coordinating meetings with contractors, controlling site access/egress, and maintaining a site diary.
- Reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements for suitability.
- Providing input on PC Site Delivery Programmes, monitoring progress, and advising on risks.
- Chairing weekly Site Progress Meetings, issuing and filing minutes.
- Inspecting materials and workmanship against industry construction standards.
- Acting as Engineer’s Representative for monitoring site activities and understanding contract documentation.
- Issuing site instructions (with Project Manager approval) and authenticating PC record sheets.
- Reviewing and confirming PC Commissioning programmes for deliverability.
- Establishing and maintaining a drawing documentation system with clear indexing and revisions.
- Supporting the Project Manager with contract administration, including Early Warning Notices and evidence gathering.
About you
You'll bring strong site management experience, a proactive approach to safety and compliance, and the ability to work collaboratively with contractors and project teams. You'll be confident in reviewing technical documentation and managing progress to ensure successful delivery.
Key requirements & experience
- ONC/HNC level (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline
- Basic project management skills, including risk management for scope, time, cost, quality, safety, and security of supply
- Awareness of NEC4 contracts
- Strong understanding of Safety and Environmental legislation, policies, and CDM Regulations
- Previous experience in project site management within a contracting environment
- Knowledge of National Gas and Partner HR policies and procedures
- Ability to fulfil the role of T/PM/SCO/91 and T/PM/SCO/94 competent person
- Health, Safety, and Environmental Management training or qualifications - desirable
- Full UK car driving licence
