About the role

Gas goes in, gas comes out. Sounds simple, right? But you know it isn't.  

As a skilled Technician you will lead, or be part of, a field team, delivering to our customers in the UK and beyond a range of specialist services including under pressure drilling, flow stopping, fabrication, testing, and valve repair to facilitate safe and efficient Gas network.

You will be covering different sites across the UK, so travel to various site locations is expected, as well as travel to training courses for competencies. Overnight stays will also be required.

You will also be required to participate in our emergency response standby rota, dealing with emergencies on the distribution network (CEME).

What we are looking for

• Relevant experience in operational maintenance or repair work using flowstopping equipment with a mechanical engineering background. 
• Practical experience of working on below 7Bar pressure systems would be preferable. 
• Good understanding of how Transmission or Distribution Networks operate and pipeline and pressure system safety. 
• Practical experience of operational work in the following disciplines would be preferred, under pressure drilling, flow stop and testing.
