About the role

 

As a Performance Analyst you will collect, prepare and analyse data to produce accurate insights that support both operational decision‑making and strategic planning. You’ll work with complex datasets, helping maintain data quality, identify trends and support with the production of reports and visualisations.


 
You’ll collaborate across delivery, planning, strategy, cost and investment teams to ensure data is aligned, consistent and reflective of our business priorities. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical capabilities, excellent attention to detail, and a willingness to learn new tools and methods.


 
What You’ll Be Doing:

 

  • Collecting, cleansing and manipulating data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Analysing investment portfolios and performance data to support decision‑making.
  • Monitoring data quality and flagging issues, anomalies or inconsistencies.
  • Producing regular reports and visualisations for stakeholders.
  • Conducting trend, deep-dive and root‑cause investigations
  • Working with financial data to ensure spend is tracked and budgets are adhered to.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve tools, reporting and data processes, supporting a continuous‑improvement culture.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure reporting and datasets are aligned with wider business priorities.

About you

 

You are detail‑driven, analytical and eager to learn. You enjoy working with data, solving problems and helping others understand insights clearly and simply.


 
You’re comfortable managing multiple tasks, asking questions and contributing to the improvement of tools, processes and reporting methods.


 
Key Requirements & Experience:

 

  • Proven experience in an analytical role with strong problem‑solving capability.
  • Comfortable working with complex datasets and understanding performance data for projects.
  • Enthusiastic about data and analytics, with the ability to produce clear, meaningful insights.
  • Degree, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience in a numerate discipline (maths, science, engineering, economics, data/IT etc.).
  • Advanced Excel skills, with exposure to PowerPoint and PowerBI desirable.
  • Strong communication skills  able to explain findings simply and confidently.
  • Ability to prioritise and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Ability to work independently while being a collaborative team member.
  • Experience in the energy, infrastructure or regulated‑asset sector (ideal but not essential).
