About the Role:

Are you a strategic leader with a passion for driving performance and delivering impactful investment plans? We’re looking for a dynamic Head of Planning & Performance to lead our regional planning and performance function, overseeing a £0.5bn+ investment portfolio.

In this senior leadership role, you’ll shape and deliver the regional investment strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals, regulatory requirements, and operational priorities. You’ll lead a high-performing team to embed data-driven decision-making, optimise resource planning, and enhance performance reporting. This is a unique opportunity to influence strategic outcomes and drive long-term business improvement.

You’ll also play a key role in stakeholder engagement, working closely with Engineering, Delivery, Finance, and Supply Chain teams, while representing the region in cross-business forums.

Essential Skills & Experience

A relevant degree in business, economics, finance, or a project management qualification (e.g. CIMA) or equivalent experience 
Extensive experience in investment planning, portfolio or performance management.
Proven leadership of cross-functional teams and the ability to influence at all levels.
Strong analytical skills and experience working with large datasets.
Deep understanding of investment governance, regulatory frameworks, and financial oversight.
Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
A strategic mindset with the ability to balance long-term goals and short-term priorities.
Experience in capacity planning, performance reporting, and using financial models.
