This role is contractually based in Bristol. However, we're open to candidates who wish to work from our Warwick office, with travel to Bristol required as needed.

About the role

As a Contract Officer, you'll help make sure our contracts deliver value, manage risk, and support successful outcomes across the business. Working closely with suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders, you'll monitor performance, drive improvements, and ensure contractual commitments are met.

What you’ll be doing

  • Support contract negotiations to achieve commercially favourable and compliant outcomes
  • Monitor supplier and contractor performance, using KPIs and data insights to identify improvements
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and contractors to ensure successful contract delivery
  • Provide clear contract-related advice and information, helping stakeholders make informed decisions
  • Identify, assess, and help mitigate contract and commercial risks
  • Resolve contract issues and disputes, working with legal, compliance, and operational teams where needed
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of contract management processes, performance, and reporting

What you’ll bring

This role would suit someone who enjoys using data and commercial insight to improve performance, build strong stakeholder relationships, and influence positive outcomes across a diverse portfolio of contracts.

 

Essential

  • Experience in procurement analysis or a similar commercial, procurement, or contract management role
  • Experience analysing performance data and developing meaningful KPIs with suppliers or contractors
  • Account, contract, and commercial management experience
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted working relationships
  • Excellent communication skills, including presenting information clearly to different audiences
  • Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights
  • Working knowledge of NEC3 and NEC4 contracts, including Options A, C, and E
  • Full UK driving licence

 

Desirable

  • Experience managing a portfolio of contracts or suppliers
  • Experience supporting contract negotiations and commercial discussions
  • Knowledge of supplier performance management frameworks
  • Experience working within a regulated, engineering, infrastructure, or utilities environment
  • Understanding of contract risk management and dispute resolution processes
