About the Role

As a Design Coordinator a typical day will consist of:

•    Attending design meetings with our contractors, ensuring designs are on track.
•    Responding to Technical Queries and Requests for Information we’ve received from our contractors.
•    Reviewing design packs, ensuring they are compliant with our specifications and procedures.
•    Attending and contributing towards Formal Process Safety Assessments (FPSA’s), ensuring designs are safe and fit for purpose.
•    Ensuring equipment is suitable to be installed on our network by witnessing Factory Acceptance Tests.
•    Managing core processes including Management of Change (MOC), asset commissioning and agreeing FPSA requirements with key stakeholders.

Travel will be part of the job - we have a national portfolio. Most weeks you will be traveling to one of our sites or offices across Scotland & the North of England so it is essential you hold a full UK driving licence.

What You'll Be Doing:

•    Provide technical support throughout detailed design, construction, and project closure.
•    Ensure compliance with key legislation and technical standards.
•    Drive design optimisation, simplification, innovation, and standardisation.
•    Work closely with key stakeholders to engage them effectively throughout project lifecycle.
•    Ensure efficient design management whilst mitigating project risk.
•    Assist project delivery through management of core business processes 

About You

•    Previous experience in Process Safety Studies (HAZOP, HAZID, HAZCON etc.).
•    Multi-disciplinary engineering design experience.
•    Management of Change (MOC) experience.
•    Pipeline/AGI knowledge and experience.

Key Requirements & Experience:

•    Essential - Engineering and/or construction background (e.g. HNC or higher with professional registration).
