About the role

As an EC&I Commissioning Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our major programmes, ensuring that complex control systems replacement projects are taken offline and returned to service safely, efficiently, and on time.

 

Your expertise will directly impact the reliability and safety of our operations, making a real difference to our business and the communities we serve.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead and organise commissioning panel meetings: Chair sessions to review project timelines, challenges, and ensure alignment across all stakeholders.
  • Oversee testing and commissioning plans: Ensure all procedures are robust, reviewed, and executed to the highest standards.
  • Verify competence: Confirm all commissioning personnel meet required standards.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Keep key internal and external partners informed and consulted throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Technical guidance: Provide expert support during design reviews and throughout project delivery, identifying and resolving critical issues early.
  • Documentation management: Ensure all commissioning activities are completed and documented in line with industry and company standards.
  • Support handover and training: Facilitate smooth transitions and knowledge transfer to operational teams.
  • Champion safety: Uphold the highest standards of operational safety and compliance.

About you

You’re a confident, solutions-focused professional with a passion for delivering complex engineering projects. You thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy collaborating with diverse teams, and have a keen eye for detail.

Key requirements & experience

Essential:

  • Proven experience in the delivery and commissioning space.
  • Strong EC&I (Electrical, Control & Instrumentation) background.
  • In-depth knowledge of control systems delivery and commissioning.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage change and drive projects to successful completion.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience managing contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Comfortable staying away during the commissioning phase c50% of the time.

 

Desirable:

  • Experience with safety instrumented systems and OT Cyber Security requirements.

 

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
