Are you ready to take the reins of a high-performing operational team and make a tangible impact on the UK's gas transmission network? We’re looking for a dynamic and visionary leader to join us as a Senior Area Operations Manager.

This is your opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering world-class safety, reliability, and environmental performance while supporting local communities and driving innovation across a critical national infrastructure.

As a Senior Area Operations Manager, you will lead a geographically dispersed team responsible for the maintenance, operation, project delivery, and emergency response across compressor stations, pipelines, and installation assets.

You will ensure the safe and efficient delivery of services, champion transformation initiatives, and represent your area in governance and policy forums. Your leadership will be instrumental in developing talent, embedding a culture of performance and accountability, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and legislative standards.

With responsibility for significant operational budgets and capital investments, you will also play a key role in financial planning and stakeholder engagement, both internally and externally.

What we are looking for

We are seeking a passionate and experienced leader with a strong background in an operational engineering environment. You will bring a deep understanding of safety regulations, and engineering standards, along with excellent communication and financial management skills.

You would be advantageous to be a member of a professional body such as IGEM or IMechE. Your ability to lead through change, inspire high performance, and build sustainable relationships will be key to your success in this role.
