About the Role

As a Trainee Craftsperson, you’ll work alongside experienced technicians and engineers, learning to deliver specialist services such as:

  • Under pressure drilling and flow stopping
  • Pressure testing and pipeline inspection
  • Mechanical maintenance across high-pressure gas systems
  • Work on above-ground installations and compressor stations

You’ll receive full training and mentoring to help you build the skills needed to work safely and effectively across our national infrastructure.

Who We’re Looking For

  • A recent graduate or college leaver
  • Someone with hands-on experience in construction, engineering, utilities, or manufacturing
  • A career changer looking for a fresh start in a technical field

What matters most is your willingness to learn, practical mindset, and team spirit.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • Basic mechanical or technical understanding
  • A proactive approach to safety and problem-solving
  • Confidence using digital tools and systems
  • A full, valid UK driving licence
  • Formal qualifications (e.g. BTEC, NVQ, City & Guilds) are helpful but not essential—we’re more interested in your potential and attitude.
