Role: Apprentice and Planning Coordinator
Salary: £34,000 to £40,000 + range of benefits
Location: Livingston or Aberdeen

About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for provision of a highly customer focussed service which ensures that National Gas Transmission technical training and competence management activities are planned, delivered, and recorded in an accurate, timely manner in line with legislative, industry and company standards
What You’ll be doing:
- Scheduling of physical and virtual training events for Annual Learning Plan (ALP), Ad-Hoc requests, New Talent programmes - co-ordinating trainers (internal and external), facilities, materials, equipment, joining instructions, adherence to course request and course closure governance processes etc.
- Competence Management System (CMS) – provision of services to support company workforce competence assurance: - Maintenance of assessment template library, production of Management Information (dashboard reports), provision of intuitive system user access, support and guidance for self-service task management
- Development of ALP in line with stakeholder requirements and budgetary constraints
- Development of New Talent programme schedules and curriculum flows
- Course effectiveness measurement, evaluation, and improvement recommendations
- Design of system solutions which automate and group refresher training requirements to minimise off-job time for delegates
- Management of external provider contract administration – Purchase order process, invoicing, M.I., KPI/Service Level Agreement monitoring, query/dispute handling, Liquidated damages processing
- Production of MI/Performance measures
- Administration of qualification accreditation requirements
- GDPR compliance
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.

Key Requirements & Experience
- Experienced in the use and application of company Learning Management System (LMS)
- Experience of co-ordinating complex, diverse, high-volume planning and scheduling activities involving multiple parties
- Expert knowledge of training and competence policies, procedures and work instructions
- Proficient with Finance and Procurement systems, processes, policies and processes
- Planning & organising capability – Demonstrable experience of co-ordinating complex, diverse, high-volume planning and scheduling activities involving multiple parties
- Team working & relationships – ability to create and maintain collaborative approach in all professional relationships (Team, Stakeholders, 3rd party providers etc)
- Performance oriented - ability to effectively prioritise and handle multiple tasks and commitment to delivering against promises
- Contract Management – familiar with NEC form of contract (desirable)
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong numeracy and analytical capabilities
- Highly Customer focussed
- Skilled in computer applications including Office 365
