Hybrid - 3 days office, 2 days remote. Occasional travel to other sites across the East region will be required.

About the role

As an Associate Buyer, you’ll support lower-value and lower-risk regional sourcing and contract management activities across assigned spend categories. Working closely with the Supply Chain & Commercial team for the East region, you’ll help deliver procurement processes from market research and tender preparation to contract award and supplier performance tracking. This is a great opportunity to build your commercial expertise and contribute to the success of regional supply chain operations.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting sourcing events and contract management activities.
  • Conducting market research and supplier assessments.
  • Preparing and issuing RFPs and sourcing documentation.
  • Managing contract renewals and performance tracking.
  • Ensuring compliance with supply chain policies and regulations.
  • Analysing spend data and generating reports.
  • Assisting with onboarding and induction activities.
  • Communicating with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Carrying out expediting activities for procured products.
  • Collaborating with supply chain team to align strategies.

About you

You'll be a delivery-focused individual with developing commercial and category knowledge, keen to grow your expertise in procurement and contract management. You'll be confident working independently on lower-risk projects, have a collaborative mindset, and bring a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

  • Experience in sourcing and contract management processes
  • Commercial acumen and value-driven mindset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to build knowledge of supply chain processes and regulations
  • Strong data analysis and insight generation skills
  • Full UK car driving licence
