About us

National Gas is securing Britain's energy. We transport gas throughout Great Britain, repair and maintain gas pipelines, and manage the meters that allow millions of homes and businesses to access the energy they need. We are the national gas network, providing secure energy to power Britain, achieve net zero, and maintain our industrial competitiveness.

About the role

Modifications to assets must be carefully assessed and controlled to meet National Gas's safety, environmental, and security obligations. In this role, you'll oversee low and medium risk modifications across the East region, ensuring they follow the correct processes and are delivered to a high standard.

  • Drive the close-out of modifications, including system updates and integrity reviews.
  • Provide technical and process advice to modification initiators.
  • Assure the quality and scope of modification assessments.
  • Monitor and progress stalled or legacy modifications to ensure timely completion.
  • Refer scope changes to the central team for risk reassessment.
  • Administer temporary modifications, ensuring close-out or extension requests are submitted appropriately.

About you

You'll be a pragmatic problem-solver who values progress over perfection. You'll bring strong communication skills and a collaborative approach, working confidently with others to influence outcomes and drive results.
