The Operations team maintain, repair and upgrade 7,666km of high-pressure pipe, 23 compressor stations, 504 above-ground installations, and 8 connected distribution networks through a highly skilled team of over 600 technicians and engineers across Great Britain. Working around the clock to maintain and enhance the infrastructure that powers homes, business and industries, guaranteeing a steady and secure energy supply.

As an integral part of the regional delivery team, the Project Officer drives value by ensuring that Contractors’ construction activities align with National Gas policy and contractual requirements.
Your accountabilities would include the review of risk assessments and method statements, undertaking safety inspections, issuing permits with a focus on the delivery of a safe, technically compliant project whilst maintaining a commercial mindset.
Projects will be mainly focused on Pipeline, AGI & Compressor Station activities across the National Transmission System.
What we are looking for
To be successful in the role it would be advantageous to have good understanding of Rotating Equipment, CDM Regulations, Safety and Environmental legislation, practices, and policies. Having project management skills and previous experience of project site management is important.
It would be advantageous to have an Electrical or Instrumentation background alongside obtaining or wanting to work towards EL96 and CompEx qualifications.
Travel will be part of the job, most weeks you will be traveling to one of our sites or offices across the patch, it is therefore essential you hold a full UK driving licence and be a good planner.
