About us

At National Gas, the work we do matters.

As Britain's national gas network, we help keep the lights on, businesses running, and homes warm by maintaining the critical infrastructure that transports gas across Great Britain. While providing the energy security Britain relies on today, we're also helping transform the network for a clean energy future.

Join us and help secure Britain's energy.

About the role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll provide commercial leadership across a portfolio of infrastructure projects that help keep Britain's gas transmission network operating safely and reliably. Working closely with Project Managers and delivery teams, you'll influence key decisions, manage commercial risk, and help deliver projects that support critical national infrastructure.

This role sits within our East Region, a strategically important part of the network that includes Bacton Gas Terminal, seven compressor stations, and a wide range of operational and investment activities across the region.

Why this role matters

Delivering and maintaining energy infrastructure requires strong commercial management as well as technical expertise. Every project must balance cost, risk, quality, and delivery to ensure customers receive value while maintaining the resilience of the network.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll help shape project outcomes from planning through to completion. Whether supporting major asset investments, managing contractual risks, or driving efficiencies, your work will directly influence the successful delivery of infrastructure that millions of people rely on every day.
