About The Role
The Security Control Centre here at National Gas is responsible for investigating and responding to alarms from designated Integrated Security Solution (ISS) sites. The Physical Security System Engineer position is to have responsibility for SCC Systems to ensure there is a continued successful separation from National Grid and ongoing support and maintenance is in place.
As Physical Security System Engineer, you will:
- Lead on the building of the National Gas SCC Alarm management system
- Ensure the newly created systems are supported and maintained
- Support Projects where there is a connection to the SCC required
- Be the point of contact with external technical security providers
- Work closely with SCC Operations manager ensuring SCC Operators are effective in their roles
This is a hybrid role based between Home and our Warwick HQ and Sites, and the closing date for applications is 23rd May 2025.
About You
You will have experience with Gallagher Alarm and Access control Systems, Synectics Video & Alarm Management, Active directory, CCTV, Video Analytics, Perimeter Intruder Detection (PID) systems, among other related interfaces.
You will possess excellent communication skills verbal and written to ensure that successful relationships are established and maintained with internal and external customers. Logical, analytical thinking with the ability to resolve problems quickly and effectively is also important for this role.
A full UK driving licence and the ability to travel is essential (company vehicle provided).
