Project Supervisor - Remote with travel - £45,000 to £61,000 + Benefits

About the Role

Join National Gas as a Project Supervisor and take the lead on decommissioning projects across the UK. This is a site-focused role requiring regular travel and overnight stays, so a full UK driving licence is essential.

You’ll be the client’s on-site representative, ensuring construction activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with technical and contractual standards. With a sharp eye on cost control and compliance, you’ll drive value and performance across all phases of the project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee contractor activities to ensure alignment with safety, technical, and contractual requirements.
  • Monitor and audit compliance with safe systems of work.
  • Review risk assessments and method statements.
  • Chair site progress meetings and ensure proactive contractor engagement.
  • Ensure Principal Contractor duties are effectively discharged.

What You’ll Bring

Essential:

  • Strong leadership in project delivery.
  • Experience with NEC contracts and CDM regulations.
  • Solid understanding of Health & Safety and technical legislation.
  • Familiarity with safe systems of work (e.g., permits, isolations).
  • Site-based experience in operational gas or hazardous environments.
  • Willingness to travel up to 5 days/week.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

  • HNC/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a technical discipline.
  • Qualifications in SHES or project management.
  • Training in Health, Safety & Environmental Management.
