About the Role
Join National Gas as a Project Supervisor and take the lead on decommissioning projects across the UK. This is a site-focused role requiring regular travel and overnight stays, so a full UK driving licence is essential.
You’ll be the client’s on-site representative, ensuring construction activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with technical and contractual standards. With a sharp eye on cost control and compliance, you’ll drive value and performance across all phases of the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee contractor activities to ensure alignment with safety, technical, and contractual requirements.
- Monitor and audit compliance with safe systems of work.
- Review risk assessments and method statements.
- Chair site progress meetings and ensure proactive contractor engagement.
- Ensure Principal Contractor duties are effectively discharged.
What You’ll Bring
Essential:
- Strong leadership in project delivery.
- Experience with NEC contracts and CDM regulations.
- Solid understanding of Health & Safety and technical legislation.
- Familiarity with safe systems of work (e.g., permits, isolations).
- Site-based experience in operational gas or hazardous environments.
- Willingness to travel up to 5 days/week.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
- HNC/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a technical discipline.
- Qualifications in SHES or project management.
- Training in Health, Safety & Environmental Management.
