Quantity Surveyor – Remote with Travel (England) - £51,000 - £65,000

About the role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll provide contractual and commercial expertise for construction projects across the UK’s National Transmission System. Based in Scotland, this role will require regular travel to project sites and offices, giving you the opportunity to work closely with teams on the ground and see the real-world impact of your work.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead a portfolio of contracts and support junior Quantity Surveyors.
  • Manage complex contracts and drive progress through clear, commercial thinking.
  • Travel regularly across Scotland and occasionally to other UK sites as needed.
  • Work closely with the Commercial Manager to deliver measurable outcomes.

 

What We’re Looking For

 

  • Experience with NEC Contracts (A, C & E).
  • Strong skills in risk management, forecasting, and supply chain oversight.
  • Commercial acumen and confidence with reporting systems.
  • Experience across both pre- and post-contract stages.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.
  • Knowledge of the gas transmission system is a plus.
