Senior Project Manager - West England (Bristol) - £65,000 to £81,000 + Company car

About the role

Are you a visionary leader with a passion for delivering complex infrastructure projects? Do you thrive in a high-impact role where safety, innovation, and performance are paramount? If so, we want you to lead on several of our high-value Capex programmes.

 

As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll take full ownership of a portfolio of capital investment programmes worth up to £100 million annually. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that all projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and environmental compliance.

 

Your leadership will be instrumental in embedding a strong safety culture, driving innovation, and ensuring that every project meets regulatory and performance expectations.

 

You will lead a team of project professionals, providing first-level assurance across all activities while developing and sharing best practices in safety, health, environment, quality, and project delivery. You’ll be expected to challenge your teams to ensure that project scopes and delivery solutions are efficient, innovative, and fit for purpose, avoiding unnecessary scope creep.

 

In this role, you’ll oversee the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through to execution and closure. Your ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally will be key to resolving issues, fostering collaboration, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

What we are looking for

We’re seeking someone with a strong background in project management, ideally within engineering or infrastructure, it would be advantageous to have experience working on Mechanical & Civil projects. You should have a solid understanding of commercial principles and experience managing financial controls, budgets, and cost forecasting.

 

Your leadership and communication skills should be exceptional, enabling you to influence and inspire teams, manage stakeholders, and drive performance across a large and complex portfolio.

 

CDM experience is held in high regard and you'll ideally hold Chartered status in engineering or project management. A valid UK driving licence is essential, and qualifications in health, safety, and environmental management such as IOSH or NEBOSH are highly desirable.
