About the role

As the Supply Chain Optimisation Lead, you will be at the forefront of our contract optimisation project, leading a team to review, streamline, and enhance our contract management processes.
Your responsibilities will include evaluating existing contracts, identifying opportunities for cost savings, minimising risks, improving compliance, and enhancing overall contract performance. You will facilitate employee-led focus groups, build strong cross-functional relationships, and foster accountability and resilience within your team.
In this role, you will lead, inspire, and motivate the contract optimisation project team, developing their capability, competency, and capacity to align with the Metering business strategy and vision. You will ensure that projects are coherent, flexible, and collaborative, delivering value to our people, customers, and business.
By creating and maintaining an energetic, people-centric work environment, you will work closely with business leads and specialist teams to support key initiatives and milestones. Maintaining a commercial focus, you will continually review strategy and plans for continuous improvement, challenging the status quo to ensure our culture, operating model, and initiatives deliver expected outcomes.
What we are looking for
To be successful in this role, you should have proven experience in leading tactical, operational, and strategic change within Metering. Expertise in continuous improvement, commercial negotiations and change, programme/project management, contract optimisation, and engagement is essential.
You should have strong knowledge of metering installations and proactive risk mitigation, along with skills in applying project management models, tools, and techniques. The ability to create a psychologically safe working environment is crucial, as are excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and organisational skills.
You should be able to prioritise multiple concurrent workstreams and deliver timely outcomes, be highly motivated to take ownership and drive initiatives with minimal direction, and possess strategic, commercial, and innovative thinking.
You will be expected to create a sense of belonging, set direction, drive change, deliver results, and develop others. Your business capabilities should include advanced customer insights, stakeholder-centric approaches, complex commercial activities, performance excellence, project management, data management, and contract management.
