This role requires you to be on site 5 days a week. Some travel to other sites across the UK (including overnight stays) will also be required.

About the role

We're currently seeking a skilled Craftsperson to join our team, supporting critical infrastructure projects across the Gas and Oil & Gas sectors. This role involves hands-on mechanical work in high-stakes environments, contributing to the safe and efficient delivery of essential services.

What you’ll be doing

You'll be responsible for executing a range of mechanical tasks including:

• Under pressure drilling
• Shot blasting
• Coating application
• Composite repairs
• Technical bolting

You'll also play a key role in promoting safety and operational excellence by:

• Leading Toolbox Talks (TBTs)
• Ensuring team understanding of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
• Collaborating with site teams to ensure safe and efficient project delivery

In addition to this, you'll participate in a standby rota once fully trained.

About you

You'll be a proactive and safety-conscious professional who thrives in dynamic environments. You'll bring a collaborative mindset and the ability to work well in a team, strong communication and leadership skills and a commitment to high standards of safety and quality. You'll also have the confidence to lead by example and support others in understanding safety protocols.

Key requirements & experience

• Proven experience in Gas or Oil & Gas environments
• Hands-on expertise in the listed mechanical techniques
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and RAMS interpretation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Working knowledge of CDM regulations - desirable
• Full UK car driving licence

Security clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
