Join us and help secure Britain's energy.

About the role

Join National Gas as an Asset Data Analyst and help shape investment decisions across one of the UK's most important infrastructure networks.

Using data and analytical models, you'll provide the evidence and insight that supports smart investment choices, helping to keep the network safe, reliable, and ready for the future.

Why this role matters

The decisions we make today influence the performance and resilience of the network for years to come. Your analysis will help identify where investment delivers the greatest value, balancing asset condition, risk, and long-term network needs.

Working with colleagues across Asset Management, Engineering, Investment, and Operations, you'll turn complex data into practical recommendations that support business planning, regulatory commitments, and future energy ambitions.

What you’ll be doing

  • Support the development and improvement of asset risk and investment models across the Gas Transmission network
  • Deliver analysis, scenario modelling, and optimisation studies to support investment planning and business decisions
  • Improve modelling tools, methodologies, and performance measures
  • Validate asset data and strengthen the link between asset condition, risk, and investment need
  • Provide evidence-based insight for regulatory reporting and asset management activities
  • Collaborate with technical and commercial teams to align modelling outputs with business priorities
  • Support the development of investment cases that maximise network value and performance
