We transport gas throughout Great Britain, repair and maintain gas pipelines, and manage the meters that allow millions of homes and businesses to access the energy they need. We are the national gas network, providing secure energy to power Britain, achieve net zero, and maintain our industrial competitiveness.
About the role
If you’re excited by the idea of leading a major digital transformation across critical national infrastructure, this is your opportunity to make a measurable impact. Join us as our Common Data Environment Lead for AutoDesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and play a central role in modernising how we deliver engineering and construction projects across the UK.
You’ll be the driving force behind how National Gas implements, develops, and optimises ACC. You’ll define the vision, steer the roadmap, and ensure our people get the best from the platform, ultimately improving efficiency, data integrity, and project delivery across engineering programmes that keep the country moving.
What you'll be doing

- Collaborating with engineering, IT, project management, and operational teams to gather and prioritise requirements.
- Leading configuration, testing, and rollout of new features and enhancements.
- Overseeing data integrity, governance, and compliance within ACC.
- Providing hands‑on training, coaching, and best‑practice guidance to users.
- Monitoring system performance and working with vendors to resolve issues and optimise the platform.
- Staying current with AutoDesk developments and industry trends to maximise platform value.
- Supporting the long‑term strategic rollout of digital construction tools across major infrastructure programmes.
About you
You’re a confident communicator who can translate complex digital solutions into clear, practical improvements for users at every level. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are comfortable influencing stakeholders, challenging assumptions, and driving adoption of new ways of working.
