About the role
You’ll take the lead in strengthening our operational resilience and emergency response capability. Working across teams and with external partners, you’ll ensure we’re prepared for a wide range of scenarios and continuously improving how we respond.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and maintaining business continuity frameworks aligned to organisational policy and recognised standards
- Ensuring business impact assessments, response plans and continuity documentation are accurate, up to date and fit for purpose
- Designing and delivering testing and exercise programmes to validate our resilience plans
- Building strong relationships with key resilience partners, including emergency services and government bodies
- Embedding best practice in emergency planning and response across the National Control Center (NCC)
- Identifying training needs and supporting capability development for colleagues involved in incident response
This is a varied role offering exposure to both strategic planning and real-time operational readiness in a critical infrastructure environment.
About you
You’ll bring a strong mix of resilience expertise, stakeholder management skills and the ability to think strategically while operating in a fast-paced environment.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Experience in business continuity, resilience or emergency planning within a complex or critical environment
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels internally and externally
- Experience developing and maintaining continuity plans and documentation
- An understanding of the UK resilience framework and best practice approaches
- The ability to operate at both tactical and strategic levels
- Excellent communication skills, with confidence working across multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to obtain and maintain Security Clearance
- Degree or equivalent experience is required
