We’re seeking a fully qualified Financial Accountant (Entity Analyst) to join our high-achieving finance team, to be responsible for four business entities monthly reporting and analysis (covering a wide range of management accounting and financial accounting processes). This position will also provide the opportunity to work in close conjunction with our talented Finance Business Partners, to understand the business areas in depth to help provide a better storyline on month end reporting.

About the role:
As Entity Analyst you will be responsible for:
- The integrity of month end reported actuals.
- Work closely with FBPs on your business entity areas to better understand the assumptions made in budget and deviation from it in the forecasts, which would support your review commentary during month end reporting.
- Produce Month end presentation packs.
- Where appropriate, challenge journal calculations, raise new prepays or accruals.
- Ensure prior month end actions are closed off, then work on improvements tasks, understand what is happening in the business so you can provide better commentary to support commercial decision making.
- Master data requests within your areas.
- Prepare and report out Quarterly Management Accounts (ensuring every balance is correct by journalling costs in the period before reporting).
- In the following quarter, prepare the management accounts for review by Entity Controllership Manager, Financial reporting & FP&A before submission to Senior Leadership team.
- Support with the Quarterly Analytical Reviews assigned by investigating costs to the prior period and providing commentary to evidence the variances.
- Understanding of WBS settlement set ups, supporting balance sheet queries if required.
About you:
We’re looking for a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ ICAEW/ ICAS, ACCA, CIMA) – this would be an ideal opportunity for someone trained and qualified in Practice to join a large progressive in-house finance team in Industry. We’d love to see proven experience in financial analysis and reporting along with management accounting experience, and solid technical accounting knowledge. You’re a team player with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, excellent attention to detail and accuracy, and strong communication and presentation skills. Systems-wise, you’ll need to have strong proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables and data analysis) and experience using SAP would be an advantage.
