Head of Regulatory Performance – Warwick (UK) - £80,000 to £100,000 DOE

We are looking for a Head of Regulatory Performance to join the Regulation team. In this role, you will oversee, coordinate, and lead the performance and policy activities carried out across the team, and deliver a programme of well-evidenced regulatory submissions to ensure the delivery of successful price control outcomes for our shareholders and consumers.

About the role

You will lead, motivate and coach a team of expert analysts and specialists in the Regulatory team, oversee strategic Ofgem engagement, and proactively build strong relationships to ensure the best possible outcomes from funding submissions and regulatory reporting.


You will lead RIIO contract performance management and performance narrative, including:

 

  • Reporting, tracking and assurance of Licence Obligations, Price Control Deliverables, reopener uncertainty mechanisms, Regulatory Reporting Pack and other external regulatory reporting.
  • Development and implementation of risk management plans – ensuring actions are agreed, developed, tracked and communicated.
  • External transparency of performance and compelling narrative targeted at stakeholder, customers, and consumers.
  • Regulatory input into the development of business processes and systems to achieve full alignment between business data and regulatory reporting requirements.


This role is based out of our Head Office in Warwick. The team operates on a hybrid way of working, typically spending 3 days working from the office, with 2 remotely. 
 

About you

The successful candidate will have a natural ability to influence and challenge internal and external senior stakeholders, gain credibility quickly, and inspire trust and confidence. You will be a strong communicator; able to articulate complex issues clearly and concisely, written and verbal, with an attention to detail. 


You will have the skills to build winning business cases for multi-million pound commercial or regulated investments. 


You will be a strong collaborator able to quickly build effective partnerships with others around the business at all levels and able to manage a virtual team in a matrixed organisation.


You will have a strong understanding of the regulatory contract in terms of the process, reporting obligations, financial language, concepts, and terms to enable the correct identification of the impacts of regulatory risks, opportunities, and drivers of performance.
