Head of Regulatory Price Control – Warwick (UK) - £80,000 to £100,000 DOE

We are looking for a Head of Regulatory Price Control to join the Regulation team. In this role, you will manage and influence the current and future regulatory frameworks to ensure National Gas has the necessary investment to enable Great Britain to deliver Clean Power 2030. You will lead the development of regulatory strategy, the preparation of a compelling regulatory 5-year business plan ready for submission to Ofgem in 2029, and ensuring the regulatory requirements are embedded in business processes.

About the role
In this role, you will provide broad thought leadership across the business, and exert external influence with regulators and other key stakeholders in the development of key arguments and future frameworks.
You will work on early engagement for future frameworks with options, arguments and understanding to ensure potential future price controls and within period developments deliver for both shareholders and for consumers.
You will convert business strategy into tangible goals for regulatory outcomes, and oversee the assessment of implications of externally driven regulatory developments applicable to the business.
You will deliver well-evidenced and supported regulatory submissions through a process of constructive engagement with customers, stakeholders and Ofgem. You will also ensure legislation and regulatory changes that impact the business are understood, communicated and implemented with appropriate assurance framework to manage risks.
This role is based out of our Head Office in Warwick. The team operates on a hybrid way of working, typically spending 3 days working from the office, with 2 remotely.
About you
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate skills and experience to build winning business cases for multi-million pound commercial or regulated investments.
You will be a strong collaborator; able to quickly build effective partnerships with others around the business at all levels, and able to manage a team of managers and specialists to deliver price control submissions, and create a high-performance culture.
You will have a natural ability to influence and challenge internal and external senior stakeholders, gain credibility quickly, and inspire trust and confidence.
You will be able to communicate in a clear and structured manner, and articulate complex issues clearly and concisely, written and verbal, with an attention to detail.
