IT Service Delivery Manager – Warwick/Hybrid - up to £75,000

National Gas is securing Britain’s energy. We transport gas throughout Great Britain, repair and maintain gas pipelines, and manage the meters that allow millions of homes and businesses to access the energy they need. We are the national gas network, providing secure energy to power Britain, achieve net zero, and maintain our industrial competitiveness. 

The recently announced sale of National Grid’s Gas Transmission & Metering business has created an amazing opportunity for us to form new teams, new products and new technology without any legacy constraints. 

We`re in the process of separating our systems and setting up our own processes, procedures and applications, making this is an exciting and challenging, but rewarding, time for us.

About The Role

The role here of an IT Service Delivery Manager is all about the planning, which means being super organised. You will own and drive the creation, management and maintain detailed processes, procedures and plans with our Partners and Suppliers, while aligning to our Commercial Team for a joined up relationship and A* services.

So, you don`t get any surprises. But you know things happen. Sometimes things may go wrong. You must hate disruptions but let`s be honest you secretly enjoy the pressure of fixing problems as you know there’s nothing quite like the pleasure of solving an issue and ensuring everything is back up and running. 

That’s what this role is all about. 

We’re looking for someone, like you, to make sure the Gas business can continue to function, and our IT services work to support this. You`ll review, lead and set the direction for our services and basically ensure that we have stable, well managed, well transitioned and highly available systems that show our services as truly world class.

This is a hybrid role based between home and our Warwick HQ, and the closing date for applications is 24/06/2025.

About You

You`ll thrive in a complex and matrix organisation and be able to find a way through ambiguity. 

You will have a superb IT service delivery background with an excellent understanding of complex IT solutions. 

The experience of managing diverse stakeholders is key to this role, as is managing our partners and suppliers and having delivered this previously would be an advantage.

You’ll also engage with project, and delivery teams, and provide consultation on the delivery of projects and services.
