Lead Asset Risk Analyst - Warwick - £51,529 to £64,000

About the role

Are you ready to influence how billions of pounds are invested in the UK’s Gas Transmission network? At National Gas, we’re looking for a data-savvy, analytically sharp Lead Asset Risk Analyst to help us make smarter, future-ready investment decisions.

 

This role sits at the heart of our trailblazing mission of energy security and ensuring our investment decisions are grounded in robust data, aligned with regulatory expectations, and ready for a hydrogen-powered future.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead the development and enhancement of our asset risk modelling tools.
  • Ensure models reflect real-world asset behaviour and future investment scenarios.
  • Collaborate with strategy, planning, cost, and investment teams to align modelling with business priorities.
  • Provide quantified evidence to support investment decisions and regulatory engagement.
  • Integrate hydrogen readiness and other future-energy considerations into modelling.
  • Drive improvements in asset data quality and the link between condition, risk, and investment need.
  • Engage with regulators and industry stakeholders to demonstrate compliance and delivery.

What we are looking for

You’ll bring at least one of the following:

  • Experience with NARMs or asset risk modelling in infrastructure or regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with decision-support tools like Copperleaf or AIM.
  • Strong grounding in asset management principles.

 

And ideally, you’ll also have:

  • A degree (or equivalent) in maths, science, engineering, or economics.
  • A knack for applying theory to real-world challenges.
  • Advanced Excel skills and ideally some programming (Python, VBA, C#).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of regulatory frameworks.
