We have a fabulous new opportunity for a Lead Cyber Incident Responder to join our talented Security team, whose mission is to protect the people and assets of National Gas to ensure the Business can provide security of supply to our nation.

About The Role

 

As Lead Cyber Incident Responder, you will be part of a world class Cyber Security Incident Response Team and play a vital role in protecting the National Gas system assets and people from Cyber Security threats, and ensure that as an organisation we are prepared to respond in a coordinated manner to any Cyber Security incidents the organisation may face.


You will lead the coordination of incident response efforts related to Cyber Security incidents, plan and deliver incident readiness activities such as exercises, and collaborate and manage relationships with required stakeholders, including government entities and general council amongst others.


You’ll conduct in-depth post incident reviews to understand root cause and identify improvement opportunities, working with the appropriate stakeholders to ensure all improvement opportunities identified during incident response are remediated accordingly, and ensure Incident Response documentation is regularly reviewed and updated where required.


This is a hybrid role based between Home and our Warwick HQ, and the closing date for applications is 26th June 2025.

 

About You

 

  • Extensive experience coordinating complex Cyber Security incident response in an enterprise organisation 
  • Expertise in leading post incident review and root cause analysis efforts
  • Knowledge of implementing ITIL best practices within an enterprise organisation
  • Comfortable leading/mentoring a small team
