Shape projects. Challenge the norm. Drive real value.

Are you a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor who thrives on challenging assumptions, driving value, and making a tangible impact on complex infrastructure projects? This is your opportunity to join a forward-thinking environment where your expertise won’t just be valued,  it will influence how projects are delivered.

You’ll play a key role in delivering critical building and infrastructure works, from ventilation systems and pipework to demolition and new-build structures, helping ensure projects are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and commercially optimised.

About the role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll take ownership of the commercial and contractual performance across a portfolio of projects. Working closely with project managers, procurement, and supply chain partners, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring financial accuracy, contract compliance, and value-driven decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.

This is not just about managing costs, it’s about challenging them, understanding them, and improving them.

You’ll be involved from pre-award stages (PQQ/ITT) through to delivery, ensuring the right commercial strategies are in place to deliver successful outcomes.

  • Collaborate with procurement and project teams during PQQ and ITT stages
  • Maintain accurate and robust commercial records and reporting
  • Support risk management and contribute to project risk registers

About you

You’re not someone who simply accepts numbers, you interrogate them. You bring a proactive, curious mindset and take pride in understanding the detail behind every cost. You’re confident challenging suppliers and stakeholders, and you’re driven by delivering better outcomes, not just completing tasks.

You thrive in a collaborative environment but aren’t afraid to push back when needed. You’re motivated, engaged, and always looking for ways to improve processes and add value.

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction or infrastructure projects
  • Strong knowledge of contract management and project delivery
  • Experience working with NEC contracts (NEC3 / NEC4)

  • Understanding of Schedule of Cost Components within NEC frameworks
  • Experience using commercial systems such as FastDraft (or similar platforms such as CIMA)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
