Regional Finance Business Partner – Warwick/ Bristol, hybrid: £60,000-£65,000

The Finance Business Partner for our West region will be pivotal in providing financial insights, analysis, and strategic guidance to ensure the successful execution and delivery of portfolio investment (Capex) within the region whilst playing a key role in managing Regional Cost performance (Opex). As a Regional Finance Business Partner, you will be instrumental in driving financial performance and supporting strategic objectives.

About the role:
Business Partnering:
- Be a trusted advisor to project teams, offering financial expertise, challenge and guidance to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and financial targets.
- Proactively engage with stakeholders to understand project requirements, provide financial insights, and support effective resource allocation.
Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to develop financial plans, budgets, and forecasts for capital delivery as well as managing function opex performance targets.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance against targets, highlighting risks and opportunities to drive informed decision-making.
Performance Reporting:
- Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports and dashboards to senior management and key stakeholders, highlighting key performance metrics, financial trends, and risks.
- Continuously monitor project financials, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary to ensure financial targets are met.
Financial Modelling and Analysis:
- Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate project economics, investment returns, and cost optimisation strategies.
- Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to assess the financial impact of various project parameters and external factors.
Risk Management:
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks associated with the capital delivery programme, working closely with project teams to implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Monitor regulatory requirements and compliance standards to ensure adherence throughout the project lifecycle.
About you:
- CIMA, ACCA, ACA fully qualified Accountant
- Proven experience in a finance business partnering or financial analysis role.
- Able to join the dots between long term strategy and financial performance, whilst dealing with ambiguity. An ability to ‘think outside the box’.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and impact the decisions and financial performance of senior stakeholders and their teams.
- Strong commercial skills.
- Proven ability to adapt style of financial information presentation to suit a range of stakeholders, both financial and non-financial.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling techniques. Some experience of ‘capex’ reporting would be of benefit.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities, and drive results under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in financial systems and tools including Microsoft Excel

Other 'nice to knows':
- This role can be either based from our Warwick or West Regional Office (expected to be Bristol). There will be occasional travel required to the other office (i.e Warwick or Bristol), and to other sites across the West.
- Hybrid working – 2-3 days in the office/ site, remainder from home
