Regulatory Development Manager (x2) – Warwick (Hybrid) - £60,000 to £80,000 DOE
About the role
National Gas has an exciting and important role in net zero and in leading a fair energy transition for the UK. We will do this by developing the green gas system of tomorrow, while delivering the natural gas needs of today. We are looking for a Regulatory Development Manager to come and join us as we work towards a cleaner energy future.
In this role, you will manage and influence across virtual teams in the preparation of compelling regulatory submissions and business cases submitted to Ofgem and prepare detailed documentation and reports for submissions to Ofgem and external stakeholders.
You will also provide expert advice to business areas in understanding regulatory issues and requirements. You will lead on Ofgem engagement to ensure timely decisions and the best possible deal for National Gas Transmission and consumers whilst proactively building a strong relationship.
You will have demonstrable skills to build winning business cases for high-value commercial or regulated investments.
You will be a strong collaborator with the ability to establish and maintain effective partnerships with others around the business at all levels, and manage a virtual team in a matrixed organisation. Strong influential skills, and the ability to communicate in a clear and structured manner and articulate complex issues clearly and concisely, written and verbal, with an attention to detail, are essential.
There are two vacancies available; one focusing on current price controls, and one on future price controls.
About you
- Skilled in building compelling business cases for high-value commercial or regulated investments.
- Strong collaborator with the ability to lead virtual teams, influence senior stakeholders, and communicate complex issues clearly and confidently.
- Proven stakeholder management, with experience owning and nurturing external relationships.
- Experienced in regulatory and commercial matters, with strong analytical skills, risk management, and commercial insight to drive performance.
- Strategic thinker with excellent execution skills, able to manage multiple priorities and balance short-term needs with long-term planning.
What we can offer you
- Salary between £60,000 and £80,000 (dependent on experience)
