SHE Assurance Lead – hybrid, Warwick with UK-wide travel - £55,000-£65,000 plus benefits

The SHE Assurance Lead is a crucial position in our Business Assurance and Risk team, auditing various parts of the business and operations (UK only), harnessing a deep understanding of business strategy, control frameworks and risk.

About the role:

 

As 2nd line of defence SHE Assurance Lead, you will plan and deliver a range of SHE assurance activities across the various 1st Line operations at National Gas, to drive effective control frameworks and processes, employing best practices focusing on continuous improvement and performance excellence.  You will collaborate closely with experts in our business to improve how we operate through undertaking ad-hoc in-depth assurance reviews, and investigations of asset management processes and activities.  

 

 

The base location of this role is Warwick HQ and there will be some UK travel involved (20-25% of time), auditing at our operational sites across the UK, therefore you must be able to stay away when required, and driving licence is essential.  In return, when not onsite, we can offer flexibility of working from home, as part of this agile and flexible team.

 

About you:

 

You’re an experienced and confident SHE assurance professional with a background in process and occupational safety.   You have a good appreciation of Asset Management, Risk Management Compliance, Audit, Assurance, Continuous Improvement and building risk-based assurance plans and recognising the risk arising from adverse assurance findings.  You’re ideally certified to appropriate ISO standards (e.g. 45001, 55001, 22301 etc) and its application, adept at providing insights and professional guidance. 

 

 

You’re highly adaptable and flexible, with great engagement and influencing skills, building relationships and knowledge, and agile (working between sites and various stakeholders).  As travel is involved in the role, you have a clean UK driving licence and car.
