Safety, Risk and Compliance Manager - Warwick (Hybrid)- up to £70,000

System Operations is responsible for operating, controlling and monitoring the Gas National Transmission System in real time, making gas available when and where our customers across Great Britain need it playing an essential role in keeping Britain’s homes warm and its industry moving. We also facilitate the efficient operation of the GB gas market.
About the role

In this role, you will provide leadership to Safety, Risk and compliance within System Operations (SO). You will ensure a co-ordinated approach to the management of emerging risks and new compliance obligations driven by the changing energy environment. You will also;
Lead the SO Risk Forum: Highlight, assess, and ensure corrective actions or controls for principal risks.
Represent SO in Company Forums: Engage in discussions related to Safety, Risk, and Compliance.
Ensure Compliance: Influence accountable managers and department champions to resolve compliance issues with timebound plans.
Manage Technical Safety Training: Oversee the roll-out and management of technical safety training programs.
Lead the Safety Risk and Compliance Team: Set ambitious objectives and support team development of 3 people.
Provide Inspirational Leadership: Drive process and behavioural safety, compliance, reliability, efficiency, and performance excellence.
Interface with Regulatory Bodies: Collaborate with HSE, EA, and SEPA on process safety and environmental subjects.
What we are looking for
Industry Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of regulatory and legislative requirements in the gas/energy industry or similar fields.
Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership, influencing, customer orientation, and communication skills to promote team working across SO.
High Standards: Commitment and integrity with the ability to establish sustainable relationships with key stakeholders.
Passion for Safety: A strong believer in process safety, risk management, and code compliance.
