Safety & Health Continual Improvement Manager - Warwick (Hybrid) - Up to £72,000

About the role:
We're looking for a dedicated and dynamic professional to work closely with our Head of Safety, Health, and Wellbeing, leading all central safety, health, and wellbeing transformation projects across National Gas Transmission. In this pivotal role, you'll drive process improvements, organisational efficiencies, and play a key part in our mission to be “Safe Every Day,” advancing our proactive safety culture.
You'll take ownership of key transformation projects, ensuring high standards of health and safety are achieved. By understanding critical Tier 1 safety processes, you will oversee continual improvements, delivering streamlined and efficient approaches that meet business needs. Your role will involve analysing trends, addressing emerging risks, and developing innovative strategies, supported by regular benchmarking to keep us at the forefront of industry best practices.
You'll ensure change management processes and project management practices are robustly applied, while building strong relationships with Health & Safety professionals and providing expert advice. Additionally, you'll represent National Gas Transmission in external forums, contributing to the wider industry dialogue.
As part of our hybrid working approach, this role offers a mix of office and home working. This role is based at our Warwick office, however you'll need to be able to travel to either the Warwick office or another one of our offices/sites approx. 3 times a week.
What we're looking for:
Essential -
- Hold a degree (or equivalent)
- Demonstrate a high level of safety experience and clear legislative understanding
- Planning and project management skills
- Stakeholder management and engagement skills
- Professional membership with a recognised body (ideally GradIOSH)
- Full UK car driving licence
Desirable -
- Prince2 or Agile safe practitioner qualifications
