National Gas Security delivers a holistic security service to the whole of National Gas. The Security Business Management function which resides within the Office of the Security Resilience is responsible for:
• The smooth running of the security department’s BAU routine and back-office functions
• Managing the CISO’s budget against forecast and pre-agreed spending limits
• Co-ordinating clear and informative communications and engagement
• Ensuring that the CISO’s business needs are met and are successfully delivered
• Lead for Security Resilience
As the team continues to grow, we have an exciting opportunity for a Security Business Co-ordinator to join us, based between Warwick and Home (Hybrid).

About The Role
The Security Business Co-ordinator plays a pivotal in ensuring that these business functions run smoothly, as they contribute to the overall effectiveness and delivery of Security to National Gas.
This is a varied and exciting role, with key accountabilities including:
- Onboarding and offboarding functions for permanent staff and Managed Service Providers
- Organisation and delivery of our bespoke security workplace inductions for all new joiners
- Management of the Security SharePoint
- Support to the departmental management of Purchase Orders and Finance Requests
- Co-ordinating internal and external events
- Assisting the Security Culture, Training and Awareness Manager in creating monthly slide packs and the administrative arrangements for the Security All Hands, and other events
- Supporting the Security Resilience Lead in managing the resilience calendar of events
- Working with the Security Business Manager to refine and improve time sheeting practices across the security function for staff and contractors
- Developing and implementing business strategies to improve productivity
- Providing administrative support to the Security Resilience team and Security Function
This role provides an excellent opportunity for someone looking to expand their horizons and gain a wider understanding of the security function and the role we play in protecting the business. Previous security experience not necessary; security education and professional development is supported in role.
About You
- Relevant knowledge and experience of business management functions and administration
- Skilled in administrative functions and excellent knowledge and application of O365 (Word, Excel, Forms, OneNote, Teams, Co-pilot) Knowledge of PowerBi beneficial but not essential
- Ability to learn new processes and work across multiple HR tools and processes, with a depth of knowledge that enables you to problem solve and assist others in navigating these systems
- Practical knowledge of finance and procurement processes, and the associated terminology preferred
- The role requires a ‘can do’ approach and the ability to multitask, and manage competing requirements daily. You must have the confidence to problem-solve using your own initiative
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team, meet deadlines and build trusted working relationships
