Senior CDE Specialist - Warwick (Hybrid) - Up to £70,000
National Gas is securing Britain’s energy. We are the national gas network, providing secure energy to power Britain, achieve net zero, and maintain our industrial competitiveness.
Join us, and help be the energy behind the change.
About the role:
We’re looking for an experienced Senior CDE Specialist to join our Digital team within Engineering, helping shape the future of how we deliver and manage our gas infrastructure across the UK. This is a great opportunity for someone who’s hands-on with digital tools like Autodesk Construction Cloud and wants to take on more responsibility in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.
You’ll be joining us at a pivotal moment. We’ve already delivered digital twins for several of our sites and implemented a Common Data Environment (CDE) to manage our project and operational data. We’re now scaling up - bringing more sites, users and systems into this digital ecosystem and we’re looking for someone to help lead that charge.
In this role, you’ll combine technical know-how with stakeholder engagement, supporting users, refining processes and helping us integrate the CDE with tools like P6 and our asset management systems. You’ll have real autonomy, the chance to influence how we work nationally and the satisfaction of seeing the impact of your work every day.
With the support of the Digital Engineering team, you'll be involved in configuring, maintaining and supporting the Autodesk Construction Cloud platform. The role also includes onboarding new projects and users to ensure a smooth and consistent experience and supports and optimises related tools such as Revit, Plant 3D, and Tandem within the Common Data Environment (CDE).
Responsibilities include delivering user training, providing coaching, and acting as a first-line support contact. Monitoring compliance with ISO 19650 standards and ensuring workflows are followed is a key aspect of the role. You'll also define user roles, approval workflows and assurance processes to support scalability. Additionally, this role contributes to future system integrations, including asset management and P6, to enable 4D capability and beyond.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, likes solving real-world problems with digital tools and wants to be part of a team that’s making a difference - without the pressure or pace of big consultancy life. You’ll be supported to grow your expertise and shape the future of our digital delivery approach, all while enjoying a healthy work-life balance.
As part of our hybrid working approach, this role offers a mix of office working in Warwick and home working. You'll need to be able to travel into the Warwick office approx. 3 times a week.
What we're looking for:
Essential -
- Proven experience in a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role
- Deep understanding and experience with AutoDesk Construction Cloud (e.g. Docs, Build, BIM 360)
- Solid understanding of BIM methodologies and ISO19650
- Proficient with SharePoint for content and document management
- Effective communication skills and able to work closely with multiple stakeholders (e.g. engineers and project managers)
- Proactive problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset
- Ability to work independently on business as usual tasks and work collaboratively on digital strategy projects
Desirable -
- Experience using Autodesk Revit, Plant 3D and Navisworks
- HNC/HND (or equivalent) in an Engineering, BIM or related IT/IS discipline
- Familiarity with construction projects
What we can offer you:
Annual bonus of up to 6% based on personal and company performance
26 days’ holiday plus statutory holidays - option available to buy extra holiday days
Generous double-match pension scheme - for every £1 you put in, we'll add £2 (max company contribution 12%)
Flexible benefit scheme, including private healthcare, dental insurance, technology plans and more
Financial protection with 10x salary death in service and financial support if you're unable to work due to long term illness or injury
Excellent family friendly provisions - maternity/paternity/adoption/shared parental leave
Career progression, professional training and development - including access to LinkedIn Learning
Employee assistance programme offering free confidential professional counselling 24/7
Financial support to help you cover the cost of professional membership subscriptions
