Senior HR Advisor – Warwick, hybrid: £43,000-£48,000
As Senior HR Advisor for National Gas’ Major Programmes division (covering Engineering and Supply Chain), supporting our Senior HR Lead, you’ll provide first point, dedicated, tailored HR advice to employees and managers on all HR matters and employee related issues, assist with the delivery of our HR Plan, and support with all HR related activity and HR projects (e.g. Talent, Reward, EVP).

About the role:
You’ll be the critical first point of contact for HR advice for stakeholders across your region, in particular managing Employee Relations (ER) & Case Management, providing timely and informed advice at all stages on policy for Disciplinary; Code of Employee Conduct, Grievance; Performance Improvement Policy, Discrimination Bullying & Harassment (DBH), Drugs and Alcohol, and Sickness Absence. You’ll ensure robust Investigations are completed by the business in relation to potential cases of gross misconduct and that cases are progressed through to hearing in a timely manner.
Working closely with the Senior HR Lead, your wider responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the delivery of an appropriate HR plan for the Major Programmes Directorate.
- Providing consistent, timely and high-quality advice to staff and managers for all HR matters including employee lifecycle events.
- Supporting the delivery of the talent agenda (e.g. local succession planning, engagement and development activity, End of Year processes and Talent Reviews).
- Supporting the delivery of wider HR projects such as DEI, EVP, Reward and Recruitment.
- HR data analysis and insight.
About you:
You have proven experience of providing risk-based HR and ER advice to a range of stakeholders at all levels, with excellent ER knowledge of case management processes and a broad understanding of good practice i.e. ACAS requirements and knowledge of employment legislation. If you’ve worked in a Unionised environment this would be helpful, though not essential. You’re highly confidential, confident, and have the ability to analyse situations and make well-considered decisions quickly, whilst also happy to work with large volumes of data and make recommendations. There will be some travel to sites across the region on occasion, therefore a driver and willingness to travel and be visible across business area is essential.
